MISSION STATEMENT AND DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
The Kitchen has always been the center of the home, the place where we cook, dine, catch up with our family and friends, and entertain our guests.
Whether you entertain more than you cook, or cook more that you entertain, this room has to be warm and welcoming, functional and practical, but more importantly, the Kitchen should be gorgeous and elegant, and should radiate your style.
Kitchen design and space planning are my specialties; however, my general expertise includes design services for custom home building and complete remodeling services. Whether you are building a new home or remodeling your existing home, I can help guide you through the process by taking your ideas and dreams and turning them into working plans and specifications. I will give you the direction it takes to develop your style so you can create the kitchen or home of your dreams. I can sketch and draw your visions and ideas right in front of you at your project site, and I can conceptualize the end result before the project even starts. I can also provide complete interior design services throughout the course of your home building or remodeling. My extensive experience will give you peace of mind throughout this complex process. I am extremely attentive and exacting in all the details of your plans, and I collaborate with only the best and most respected craftsmen in the business to make these plans a reality. I will be happy to work with your contractor or architect during the project.

JULIE'S BIOGRAPHY:
Julie is a graduate of Iowa State University. After completing her Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design in 1985 she moved to New York City where she spent the first 7 years of her professional career working for two different Architecture firms and serving as the Senior Designer for an Interior Design firm. As Senior Designer, Julie's responsibilities included all the hand-drafting of space and furniture plans, the selection of all the furnishings and materials, and the supervision of all installations.
Her corporate clients in New York City included such established corporations as Bank of America's 5th Avenue Corporate Offices, Citibank's Park Avenue Corporate Offices, David Webb Jewelry on Park Avenue, Weinburg Law Offices, and Rizzo Law Offices.
While in New York, Julie also collaborated with the Top 5 developers in Manhattan to help build many of the city's 40-story luxury high-rise condos. Julie completing over 50 model homes for such elite properties as:
Philip Milstein's "Windsor Court," "Liberty Court," and "Normandy Court"
Zeckendorf Development's "Zeckendork Towers" on Park Avenue
J.I Sophers Real Estate's "The Monark" and "Astor Terrace"
Landau Development's "990 Avenue of the Americas
Lefrak Properties' "Newport City"
Renovation of the historical Friars Club of New York City
In 1991 Julie left New York City and moved to Laguna Beach, California, where she devoted her custom design talents to the residential market, focusing mainly on custom designs for the private residence.
With her passion for the Art Deco Era, she fell in love with all the early California homes built from 1910 through 1930's, the Spanish and Mediterranean styles, the Craftsman, and of course the Bungalows.
Julie has completed over 350 custom kitchen designs, and has worked on several commercial projects along the way. She has had the pleasure of working on such historical remodels as the Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, California, built in 1938, and an original Wallace Neff home in Pasadena, built in 1927.
Julie takes a hands-on approach for all her projects. Equipped with her ability to visualize and her talent to draw, Julie can conceptualize the end result before the project even starts. She applies her expertise and experience in the custom design arena to create plans that truly work. Always painstaking and meticulous with her design details, Julie is able to help her clients achieve their goals for their homes, whether it involves creating an inviting and functional kitchen, remodeling a home to refresh and revamp its ambience, or building a dream home from the ground up. Julie can take your visions and help you materialize them in your home.
