THE STORY BEHIND THE PROJECT
This Mediterranean 1928 Balboa Peninsula bungalow gem has an interesting fun-fact. The client’s’ grandfather was the first mayor of Balboa Island in 1920s!
I opened up the home by creating arched openings between several rooms. In order to preserve the 1920’s look of the home, I installed shaker white cabinets, used soapstone and white subway tiling in the kitchen and bathrooms. The homeowner appreciated my attention to detail in maintaining the integrity of her historical home.
